“Imitation is THE most glamorous form of flattery”

Dressed. As. a. Girl. is a series of mixed media collages celebrating the pioneering US queens of Drag from the 20th Century. The acronym comes from the early days of the theatre when men played both the male and female roles. One was either ‘dressed as a girl’or ‘dressed as a boy’.

We’ve come a long way baby! Drag has evolved into a diverse and liberating form of expression that challenges, entertains and educates by pushing boundaries whilst embracing beauty, comedy and glamour. The artist’s inspiration comes from US Drag Royalty; Eddi Edwards, Sherry Vine, Monroe and the fabulous Miss Coco Peru.
